Did you know City ordinance require residents to use containers to put trash out at the curb? Furthermore, the containers must have lids. The ordinance reads as follows:

Residential solid waste shall be stored in containers of not more than fifty-five (55) gallons nor less than twenty (20) gallons in nominal capacity. Containers shall be leakproof, waterproof, and fitted with a flytight lid and shall be properly covered at all times except when depositing waste therein or removing the contents thereof. The weight of any individual container and contents shall not exceed seventy-five (75) pounds. Galvanized metal containers, or rubber fiberglass, or plastic containers which do not become brittle in cold weather, may be used.

This is both frustrating and disappointing. 😞 These picnic tables were purchased last year to replace the rotting wooden ones that had long outlived their useful lifespan. These new tables were not cheap ($1100 each), but they were intended to serve the park for many years to come.

Then someone has to go and destroy it. And for what purpose? To get some laughs out of your friends? To have something to ramp your bike off? 🤷‍♂️ What about the dozens of kids that use this picnic table each summer for our Art, Storytime and Science in the Park programs? What about the families that enjoy a meal together on these tables? 🥺

Parents - make sure you know what your kids are out doing when they are not at home.

If this was an adult - you ought to be ashamed of yourself. Do better. Be better.

@followers Our Pickleball Open Play Sundays have been going so well, were considering offering it year-round.. We would break it into sessions as follow: Winter January/February; Spring March/April; Summer June/July; Fall September/October. 📅
(We would take the months of May, August, November and December off. We would also take off holidays like Easter, Fathers Day, etc.)
Whos game for this? 👍 Like this post if you would be interested in pickleball year-round. Other suggestions welcomed in the comments too. 😊

The Lakeview Event Center has multiple spaces that can be utilized in various ways to maximize your events flow. The double sliding glass doors make accessing the patio a breeze, not to mention letting in the gorgeous view of the Lawson Lake. The main room can accommodate up to 10 round tables. The side room works great for setting up buffets. (Not shown are the bridal suite or the binzebo and walkway down to it.)
