The Lawson Park Board provides park facilities and programs to accommodate the needs and interests of residents and visitors. Whether you are into sports, nature or just want to take your children to the playground, Lawson is the place for you. Having fun, meeting your neighbors and making new friends is what living in Lawson is all about.

The Lawson Park Board is responsible for a variety of recreational programs and events throughout the year, such as:
• Easter Egg Hunt
• Lawson Picnic
• Fitness Classes (see below)
• Lawson Youth Sports Association (LYSA)
• Movies in the Park
• Story Time in the Park
• Art in the Park
• Fall Festival

For a full schedule of events and more information, visit our Lawson Park Board facebook page.

The City of Lawson’s park facilities are available to groups and citizens to reserve for family gatherings, group parties, picnics, meetings, or other events. Park reservations are on a first-come, first-serve basis and a fee may be required. For additional information or to see if a specific date is available, contact Lawson City Hall.

The Lawson Park Board hosts 2 fitness classes per week. Zumba! is held on Tuesdays at 6pm at the David Blyth Community Room at Lawson City Hall. Gentle Yoga is held on Thursdays at 6:30pm at the Lakeview Event Center. Classes are $5 per class (drop-in rate) or $20 for a 5-class pass (available at each class with cash/check).

Come out and enjoy our beautiful parks!
