Built in 1966, the Lawson swimming pool provides a family and friendly environment for all to enjoy. Our pool measures 55′ and 30′ 4″ x 83′ and ranges from 3 to 8 feet deep. The City of Lawson took ownership
of the pool in the spring of 2019, making many improvements to the facility. The bathrooms were completely remodeled, as well as the pump house. A climbing wall, zip line and mini splash pad were added.
A full concession stand is available. Most notably, the pool is now staffed by certified lifeguards during all hours of operation, making the Lawson City Pool a fun and safe environment for families to enjoy all summer long.
Directions: Take 3rd Street to Ingles. Go South on Ingles until you cannot go any further. You can’t miss it!
Pool Season: Memorial Day weekend through Labor Day weekend
Hours: Monday-Saturday 12pm-8pm & Sunday 1pm-8pm

Single Day Pass: $6 before 5PM and $4 after 5PM
Children 2 years of age & younger: FREE; Adults 65 years of age & older: FREE

The Lawson City Pool is available for parties both during regular pool hours and after pool hours. Please call the pool during regular business hours to schedule at (816) 296-3472.

The pool is officially HIRING LIFEGUARDS for the upcoming 2025 pool season!
This position is great for any and all high school students, including students involved in summer weights or summer sports activities, since the pool is only open in the afternoons. The pool season runs from Memorial Day in May to Labor Day in September, and some of the responsibilities include enforcing pool policies and procedures, monitoring swimming areas and providing emergency and first aid care, and ensuring efficient operation of the concession stand.
To apply, please visit Lawson City Hall for an application. Applicants are required to be 15 years of age by May 24, 2025. Applications are due back to Lawson City Hall by 5pm on Thursday, February 20th, 2025, giving you just about 2 weeks to apply. Don’t miss out on this great summer job opportunity!

From our Pool Manager: Attention, Lawson community! The time has come again for us to start preparing for the Summer 2025 pool season! We are seeking an Assistant Manager for this season, and I would love for you to apply! This position is a super-fun position that looks great on a resume, and you can work up to 40 hours/week. Season runs from May to Labor Day, and some of your responsibilities will include enforcing pool policies and procedures, overseeing lifeguards, and assisting the General Manager with pool operation.
