Lawson School District has won countless awards for both academics and sports. On top of that, the Lawson School District has one of the finest performing arts centers in the Greater Kansas City area. The Community Library Media Center is housed in the High School and open to patrons with extended hours.

Library Media Center … Open to the public

We couldn’t agree more.  Come visit your local Library Media Center (LMC).  A quiet place to study, relax, work or simply escape in a good book.  It’s fun, the old fashioned way. We are continually upgrading our collection to offer the newest releases and always taking recommendations from our patrons. Our electronic resources are the newest software version available.

Youth Activities, Clubs and Organizations

Get involved!  A variety of clubs and organizations are available for the youth of Lawson in addition to those offered by the Lawson School District.  Choose from scouting, 4-H, soccer, basketball, football, softball, baseball, Young Life, as well as many local church programs! 

Play ground equipment, fishing, camping, hiking, and golf are also available at our City Park, City Lake, and local golf course.  The Lawson Park Board offer events throughout the year.  Movies in the Park, Easter Egg Hunt, Fishing Derby, Lawson Picnic, and Santa coming to Lawson are just a few!!
