Lawson, Missouri is located just north of the Kansas City metro and with around 2500 residents, we are a desirable size town.
We don’t hide the fact that we’re small. Indeed, we embrace and celebrate it. We enjoy a community where family values, quality education and community pride create the ideal place to live, work and play.
And yet, we strive to develop strategies that allow us to achieve purposeful and deliberate growth. Around here, we dare to dream big, and then we roll up our sleeves and get to work making it happen. Just take a look around town at all of the improvements over the past decade – a brand new Splash Park, upgrades to our City Pool, improvements to our City Lake complex with the addition of the Lakeview Event Center and Lakeview Campground and RV Park, the new Barker Center on the high school campus, and many more projects that are coming down the pike.
While we have no intention of being the next big city, we won’t ever settle for less when it comes to improving the quality of life for our residents. We are proud to be a small town with big dreams!

The long awaited Parade of Hearts kicks off this weekend. You can see all 100+ hearts in one location on Saturday during the kick-off event. All hearts will be placed around the metro on April 15-27 and the hunt begins!

#ICYMI, the Lawson Park Board's fitness classes are starting back up today! Join instructor Tosha Jackson tonight at 6:30pm for Gentle Yoga focusing on flexibility, strength building and balance. All classes have been moved to the Lawson City Hall Community Room. $5 drop-in rate or $20 for a 5-class pass.
Stretch & Rest Yoga starts back up next Wednesday, April 17th at 8:30am focusing on flexibility and relaxation techniques.
