Our proud community of Lawson will celebrate 150 years in 2021. To mark this special occasion, a committee has formed to plan year-long activities culminating in a festival to be held on Labor Day weekend 2021. The committee’s goal is to not only host the festival, but to reinvigorate hometown pride. Numerous volunteer days and community service projects will be held leading up to the festival in September 2021.

The committee is seeking many volunteers to help lead and assist with various projects around the community. Some project ideas include beautification projects such as planting flowers, sprucing up paint and clean up projects like clearing brush, trash and dilapidated structures. If your group is interesting in helping with any project or can take the lead on a project, please contact Tosha Jackson at .
