COVID-19 Update

Emergency Proclamation – March 22, 2020

The City of Lawson supports the Order to Shelter in Place issued by the Clay County Health Department, effective Tuesday March 24, 2020 at 12:01 a.m. and in effect for 30 days. At this time, we highly recommend that our citizens throughout the City of Lawson, both Ray and Clay County sides of the community, follow the guidance of the Clay County Health Department and following the Shelter In Place Proclamation.

Please know we understand how difficult this request is to make of the community and we do not take it lightly. However, if we choose not to do it, the consequences may be much more severe. Our number one priority is to ensure the health and safety of the community. We have limited abilities in our local ordinance to impact the spread of COVID-19, but with the cooperation of the community, we will do our part to beat this.
